Reviewed By: Herr Mike Style: Strong Ale State/Country: Ireland ABV: 9% Serving Type: 12 oz Look: 9 Brown color, thick tan head, stringy lacing Smell: 8 Cola, earthy, malty Taste: 8 Chocolate, smoky, caramel, brown sugar, figs, raisins Mouthfeel: 7 medium with medium carbonation Drinkability: 8 Not bad but not the best strong ale I've ever had. The booze was well hidden. Overall Score: 8 Value: 7 Cost/12 oz serving: $I've seen this cost as high as $40 a 750 bottle Overall Impression: A different kind of Guinness ( That I actually drank on St Patrick's Day) It's tasty for what it is but not worth the price. I was lucky enough to get a bottle as a gift so it made it a lucky quaff for me. Slainte!
