Reviewed By: Herr Mike Style: Double/Imperial IPA State/Country: New York ABV: 8.2% Serving Type: 12 oz Look: 9 Medium amber color, medium white head, spotty lacing Smell: 8 Fruity, grass, wood Taste: 9 Cherry, apple, maple syrup, wood, pine, vanilla, caramel, whiskey Mouthfeel: 8 Medium dry with medium carbonation Drinkability: 9 It's a cross between a DIPA, Strong Ale and a Barleywine and I like it. Overall Score: 8.6 Value: 10 Cost/12 oz serving: $1.84 Overall Impression: I love oak aged beers and DIPA's do I was excited to try this. I think ST makes some solid IPA's and this one's on par. The oak dominates a little, but as the beer warms all the other flavors come into play. I may age one or two to see if the flavors meld better. The wood is good!
