Reviewed By: Herr Mike Style: Barleywine State/Country: Illinois ABV: 13.6% Serving Type: 16 oz Look: 8 Mahogany color, tan head fades to nothing, no lacing Smell: 9 Dark fruits, earthy, boozy Taste: 8.5 Figs, raisins, caramel, vanilla, booze Mouthfeel: 7 Syrupy with low carbonation Drinkability: 8 It drinks like a brandy. Sweet, hot and boozy. Overall Score: 8.1 Value: 8 Cost/16 oz serving: $10.99 Overall Impression: This is my second go around with this brew and it's slightly better than the one I had in 2014. I like the Bourbon County Stout but the Barleywine seems to miss the mark for me. It's good but it doesn't live up to the hype.
