I've had some great wheat beers but this beer is on another level. A must try!

Reviewed By: Herr Mike Style: Sour/Wild Ale State/Country: California ABV: 8.5% Serving Type: 12 oz Look: 9 Grape juice color, medium fluffy light purple color, stringy lacing Smell: 8 Grape, floral Taste: 8.5 Grape, blackberry, cranberry, earthy Mouthfeel: 8 Medium dry with medium carbonation Drinkability: 8.5 Tart grape juice with a tangy dry finish. ABV is well hidden Overall Score: 8.4 Value: 8 Cost/12 oz serving: $2.34
Overall Impression: I'm not a huge sour ale drinker but I like red wine so my interest was peaked. This hybrid brew hit the spot for it's winey characteristics, but it still drank like a sour ale. This would make this a great intro beer for a red wine drinker who doesn't like beer.
Drinkability: 8 Some citrus up front with some Belian funk but the honey dominates
Overall Score: 8.2
Value: 8 Cost/12 oz serving: $5.00
Overall Impression: Not a bad GOT beer but not my favorite. The honey lingers long after the finish but the ABV is well hidden so if you quaff this brew too fast you will definitely be bending at the knees.

Drinkability: 9 Easy to quaff and it has a nice spiciness on the exit
Overall Score: 8.4
Value: 9 Cost/12 oz serving: $1.67
Overall Impression: Sam Adams was a intro beer for me when I was a wee lad. This is always a go to in the summer if I'm in a bar that doesn't carry any craft beer. It sip brings me back to my younger days hanging out at the Jersey Shore.
