Definitely a session beer for me. Overall Score: 8.8 Value: 9 Cost/12 oz serving: $ 1.52 Overall Impression: This is a solid IPA. I liked it better than the Rye Pale Ale. The picture on the label reminds me of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! And just like the comic, this beer kicks ass!

Almost an IPA. A good step up hoppy beer for a newbie.

This beer will warm your ass on a cold winter night!

It has a good malt backbone and a little hoppiness , with the unique twist of rye. It's a Jewish deli explosion in my mouth! Oye Vey!

Value: 6 Cost/12 oz serving: $ 2.73 Overall Impression: I had this beer in a bomber a few years ago and remembered it being better than this 12oz bottle from the four pack. No date so I don't know how old it is. The flavors were just meh. No fruit really jumped out. I will probably stick to drinking the Gran Met from now on. A pass for me.

One and done for me! Overall Score: 8.2 Value: 8 Cost/12 oz serving: $ 2.67
Overall Impression: Not my favorite R.I.S. It did taste better than the last one I had (maybe due to some cellaring) as the beer warms, more notes come through. I met Brian Boaks at the Philly Winter Beer Fest and he told me that the beer was aged a year before distribution.

Smell: 8 Bread, citrus, hops, malt
Taste: 8.5 Sweet, pine , very little rye flavor, cracker, grass
Mouthfeel: 7.5 Thin and very clean with medium carbonation
Drinkability: 8.5 This is quaffable. It's more like an IPA. One 22 ouncer and I'm done.

Overall Impression: Bwai, ya done know seh mi deya gwaan easy, and this was easy to drink! Not the “Rye Monster” I thought it would be, but it was tasty! It was like a sweet IPA, but that wasn't bad! This brew was “Irie”!
