The booze is well hidden but it gets more pronounced as the brew warms. I was surprised how affordable such a complex beer was. Well done gents!

I'm not a fruit beer drinker but my dad had a Shiner sampler pack so I gave it a quaff. It was a little sweet but fruit beer drinkers might like it.

And at only 6 pounds it's all good! Overall Score: 8.8 Value: 9 Cost/12 oz serving: $1.75 Overall Impression: After a vertically aggressive pour ,as per instructions on the bottle, the beautiful cascade came to a nice thick creamy head that stayed until I finished. (almost sounds like a porn movie) This beer finds a nice balance between sweet and roasty. I would highly recommend it!

I usually look for more of that caramel biscuit character in an APA, which was there, but not as pronounced. If you're looking for a hoppier APA then this will do the trick.

Nice hop kick. Overall Score: 8.4 Value: 9 Cost/12 oz serving: $1.94 Overall Impression: This beer was good but could use a little more malt backbone to make it outstanding. It's still a very good beer that hop heads should seek out.
