Not tops for the style, but it is worth a taste if you have the greenback!

Cost/12 oz serving: $ 1.25 Overall Impression: Yuengling is America's oldest brewery and they have been around 180 years, so I have a lot of respect for the brewery itself, it just is a weak beer for the style. Just not for me. But someone who is on a tight budget may consider this beer before moving up the ladder to Doublebocks!

I had this on hand pump once, and it was aweSOME! Overall Score: 8.6 Value: 10 Cost/12 oz serving: $ 1.60 Overall Impression: This is one of my “Go to” beers because it's readily available in my area! It's not as hoppy as a west coast IPA, but it's a good starter beer for people new to the style.

Smell: 9 You can smell the alcohol, banana, cloves, and apple Taste: 9 Up Front: Spicy, tart, apple, slight hops Finish: alcohol, pepper and ginger snaps Mouthfeel: 8.5 A little tingly and dry Drinkability: 9.5 I love my abbey ales! I gave it a 10 for value because this one was on “The Godfather” Don Mirsky! Overall Impression: This beer is funky and complex, just like me, except with more alcohol! This is a hophead's delight! I could drink this all day if it wasn't for the 10 plus pounder ABV!
